De clutter: Empties and Throw out ♥

Hey guys!

Before going on holidays, I had a massive clean out and de - clutter session to make my room more tidy. I found some old goodies that I need to buy more and some I had to throw out. If you are thinking of buying any of these products or looking for new products to use, take a look at this blog!

I'll start with the polishes which I unfortunately have to throw out.

Essence gel - look topcoat

Let me start by saying that this top coat is just beyond amazing! I apply it when my nail polish is still black or when my nail art is semi dry so it doesn't smudge. This gives so much shine to the nail, and makes every colour so pretty. It also protects from chipping, even if you are someone who ends up chipping nails just a day after you have the polish on! Definitely going to be buying this again! This can be purchased in Primark or Pennys! The reason I am throwing this beauty out is because it is all dried up! Poor soul, getting this back as soon as I run out of the top coat that I am using now!

Primark beauty - Nail Polish

Now for these, I really couldn't find the name of the polish themselves, but these polishes are definitely worth their money. These usually come in a pack of 4 for €2.50 in Pennys. These are quite good quality for their price, to be really honest. Yes, they do chip away quite quickly, but if you pair it with a good top coat, just like the essence, you have a chip resistant nails. Again, these have dried out, so I have to throw these away.

Pantene Mousse - Defined Curls

I think this wasn't a right product for me. I needed something that would curl my hair without me having to use heat of my hair. This probably be suits people who already have curly hair, to keep them in place. For what I have been using, it gives out wet looking hair, and the foam is quite sticky too. I really don't think I will be buying this again. Sorry Pantene.

Boots Essentials - moisturising cream - cucumber

Where do I even begin with this cream? This cream is my life! It is so hydrating on the skin. I go through these like it's nobody's business. They are so light and very moisturising. I put this on my face before going to bed, before putting on my makeup and after a shower. It leaves my skin silky soft. Love it so much! I am probably on my fourth one of these at this stage!  5/5 hands down!

Montagne Jennesse - Strawberry Souffle face mask/Peel  off Passion

This was my first time using this brand , and I am not disappointed at all. Strawberry Souffle, smells like strawberries, and is very cooling on the skin. It is not Strawberry Souffle that impressed me, it was the Peel Off Passion. As the name suggests, it is a peel off mask. When I first put this on, I was met with the smell of Pomegranates. The smell of pomegranate is just to heavenly! The peel off dried fairly quickly, and even when it was hard, it was very moisturising. When you put on the mask, you are hit with this cooling sensation on your face. After peeling othe mask, my skin was left very soft. I could also see the black heads on taken off mask, so, it really worked!

L'Oreal Paris - Elvive Fibrology

This shampoo has done wonders for my hair. My hair were thin, dry and had to volume to them. After finishing two bottles of this shampoo and conditioner, I have to say, my hair is far better than they used to be. They have so much volume, they are think and they even get less greasy now. I already have 3 more bottles stock up!

Zoella beauty Soak Opera

I got this shower gel as a Christmas present from my friend (she just knows me very well and my YouTube obsessions) I was very excited to use this shower gel, there was so much hype about this. When I actually used it, I have to say, it left me a little bit disappointed. As a shower gel, I had to use a lot of it, to make a decent amount of foam. The smell was standard as well. There was nothing extraordinary about this product at all. The only thing was satisfying was this as a bath soak. It made a lot of bubble in the bath (I also used a lush bath bomb along with this). The hype is only because of the brand name and that's all. It is definitely not worth its price which is €6.50. You can easily buy this from Primark/Pennys.

Andrew Barton - S.O.S HELP ME!

Ah, this beauty, this has helped me lot during my greasy, thin hair days. To make sure, I got some volume in hair, my hairdresser advised me to use a spray conditioner rather then gel or cream ones. After shower, in my wet hair, i used to spray this, which in turn made my hair less knotty and silky smooth. I have stopped using this one now, because I have been using the Fibrology conditioner from Elvive but this has been very good to me.

That's all I have for today!

See you guys next week

Anam

My Favourite Polishes ♥

Hey guys

Way before makeup, I was a nail polish junkie. I used to collect a lot of nail polishes from different brands, and the obsession was so bad that at one point, all my birthday presents consisted of nail polished, which naturally led to my collection getting bigger and bigger. Just the other day I decided to clear out my polishes, throw away the ones I don't like or have dried out. I found some of the polishes which have been my absolute favorites for the past year or so

I hope you enjoy this! If you have any recommendations please let me know!

Seventeen nail colours - Ruby Gem  -  Love - Risky Red

I am a massive fan of Seventeen polishes. These usually appear during  Christmas time in Boots, as a gift pack of 12. I got these as a birthday present last year. The colors are very summery. The polish is the right amounts of thick. It's not too thick or too thin, it is the perfect consistency. They are quite opaque too, just two coats do the job!

Primark Nail Polishes - Baby Pink - Baby Blue (Daisy Collection)

Unfortunately, I couldn't find the name of the polish, but it is a pale pink colour. They do chip very fast but they are extremely cheap. Around 4 for €2.50. I just love this colour so much. The polishes are quite thick and very opaque.

This polish is also from Primark. This is a limited summer edition in Daisy Collection which comes with a yellow striper pen, a white polish and a baby blue polish.

NYC Rock Muse Smoky Topcoat ♥

The name says it all. It is a smoky topcoat with big bits and small bits of glitter. I enjoy my NYC nail polishes because they only cost €1.99 and usually are a very good quality.

Silver Steal Nail Varnish ♥

To be really honest, I don't remember buying this nail polish or how much it was. I just love the finish of this polish, it has a glass effect. It is quite opaque, a standard 2 to 3 coats usually suffice. I also can't find a brand name of this polish. I found a website that was on it which was www.badgequo.com.

Makeup Academy - Cosmopolitan ♥

This is a very peachy pink color with a hit of gold glitter in it. I didn't notice until now that this is from Makeup Academy. I just thought that it was some unknown brand that I got from 'Dealz' for €1.49.

NYC Nail Art Creation - Pinkasso ♥

This last one is from NYC and it is a luminous pink striper. It is very opaque and actually has a gel like effect. It was around €2 if I remember it correctly. I love the brush of the striper too, it is very thing which is a surprise as many cheap stripers have a very thick brush.

This is it for this post now!

I will see you guys next week.

Day 27 - 3 songs that put you in a good mood.❤

Hey guys

So music is one of the things that I cherish and love the most. It is one thing in my life that can't be replaced. Especially these three songs which have been by my side for few years now.

I hate you, don't leave me - Demi Lovato ❤

Demi has always been my go to singer, as far as I can remember. When she came out with this song, I have a heard of it. This song just matched my condition during that year, and it was as if Demi just understood me. This song, til this day, even now that I am not in the same state as I was before, is an amazing song. I always go back to this whenever I am upset.

All About us - He is We ❤

I don't know what is about this song, but this just makes me happy every time I hear this song. The music video is just super! But God, why did they break up? I loved the band, I had almost every song of theirs on my playlist.

Always be with you - Walking on Cars ❤

This song is probably the recent one, I am always listen to this song, particularly because of the beats in this song. The song itself is hard to explain why I love this song. It just automatically makes me happier!

Thank you guys,

See you tomorrow,

love,

Anam

Day 21 - Your Favourite Show ♥

Day 21 - Your Favourite Show ♥

My favourite show is definitely Gossip Girl.

I recently watched this show probably in early April or so. I probably finished all seasons within a few weeks. From the first episode I was hooked to this show.

First I fell in love with Dan Humphrey, who was one of the main character in the show, whilst I conjured up my hate for Chuck Bass, a manipulative, annoying rich brat. He totally different to Dan. Dan was sweet, cute ad naive , where Chuck was a 'bad boy' of the story.

I also fell in love with Blake Lively, or her character - "Serena Vanderwoodson". She was also a rich 'it' girl living in Upper East Side. It wasn't the character that pulled interested me though, it was actually how beautiful she was. She would probably be my #wcw.

As the series went on, the plot developed, I was pulled into the series and my love for Dan began to cease and my love for Chuck was on its height! Ed Westick is just so damn beautiful!

Uh, but the ending, I hated it so much! The gossip girl was revealed and it was the worst person they could've chose! (Don't worry I won't spoil it)

I recommend you if you haven't watched this show before, I am sure you won't get disappointed!

with love,

Day 18 - A picture of you last year and now. How much have you changed so far? ♥

Day 18 - A picture of you last year and now. How much have you changed so far? ♥

This is me back in January 2014

and this is me now.

I guess I have changed massively. For once, I am more confident of how I look.  I got a haircut, and I also got my hair dyed blonde at the ends. This change actually massively gave me a whole lot of self confident. I take care of myself more, and often treat myself. I have also surrounded myself with amazing, positive people, who are by my side all the time, so I consider myself lucky this year too.

People do change, all we need is a little push.

Also, never change for other people, but only for yourself!

Nobody is perfect, not me, not you, but this is what makes us unique.

Day 16 - Anything you think 'what if' about ♥

Update: Hi guys, just want to quickly mention, that I have done few changes to my site now.
  • I have made a new twitter for the blog so I can interact better!
  • I have also made a new email for the blog, so feel free to email me, I will be replying!
  • I have also made a menu bar now and when you click on anything on the menu it will bring you to each place.
  • I am also making a Pinterest and YouTube account soon! You can follow me there too!
  • I will be making my first YouTube very soon! I just have to see if I feel comfortable around camera. I have do that after my holidays!

Hey guys,

I hope you have been having a lovely day. I have been very busy trying to go shopping and picking up bits and bobs for the holidays!

There is one particular thing that I think 'what if' about almost everyday. That is "What if I wasn't born in an Asian or Muslim family."

When you are born in an Asian Family, particularly Indian or Pakistani, you are put few conditions since you are born.

You need to get As in every exam you do.

You need to keep your head in studies.

You aren't allowed to have sleepovers.

Friend's are not a necessity.
and several others one.

I always wonder what if I was 'white'.

Would I be more confident?

Would I be very studious like I am now?

Would I have a different personality altogether?

Would my ambitions and goals be different to what they are now?

Would I have different set of friends then I have now?

Sometimes I feel like life would be so much easier if I was just Irish, not different in skin color or thoughts.

That's it guys!

I will post another post for day 18 soon.

Love,

Anam
