Just a little introduction...
Hey guys, so this is my first ever blog so I want to do a little introduction and then begin with my first post about my May favorites.
My name is Anam and I live in Ireland. I am eighteen years old, and I currently attend university. I have many interests and hobbies but make up is probably one of my biggest passion. I have to say that this passion is quite recent, I believe a year or so. I am still a beginner and I may be wrong about few thing so excuse my mistakes.
My interest in makeup started after I begin to look at the amazing YouTube beauty gurus like Zoella, velvetgh0st, Nabela Noor etc. They have been my inspiration and these are the ladies which led to explore my interest in makeup. I'd love to create my own YouTube channel but I am quite shy, and I also lack the resources to make a good quality YouTube videos, such as lighting, good camera etc.
After so much procrastination, I finally decided to start this blog. It is only appropriate to post my May favorites for the first post as it is nearly the end of May.
Please leave me comments and tell me what would you like me to write about. I am open to suggestions and constructive criticism. I hope you guys enjoy this post.

1 - 17 Instant Glow - Gold Bronze - Shimmer Brick.
So, my absolute favorite product this month has to be the Shimmer brick from Seventeen. I had always wanted to find a good highlighter that would suit my skin tone, which is brown/olive. I love glitter and I have to say when I saw this in my local Boots store, I knew I had to have it in my makeup collection. This brick consists of 4 shades, starting with the palest highlighter to the brown bronze shade. I usually use this brick to highlight and bronze both. The darker shade works very well as a bronzer especially for people who have darker skin like mine, I usually put the lighter shade above my blush using my fingers and then using a bronzing brush.
This product was only €6.29 - It also comes in another shade - Pink Bronze.

Okay so, I had to my book my tickets to my home country which, let me mention is very warm with around 45 degree Celsius of heat in the summer. I was sure that if I take the foundation which I normally wear (No7 Beautifully Matte Foundation in Deeply Honey), I will be sweating left, right and center. I also didn't wanted to wear that much make up on a daily basis to places like beaches and on shopping trips. I decided to get hunting for a BB cream. But as always, it was really hard to find a BB cream which was cheap and affordable but also really good in my shade. After giving up all the hope, I asked my local Boots store if they had any BB cream for my skin color in No7 products but yet again, they didn't even have it. The counter assistant finally showed me the Intelligent color foundation and she gave me a sample to try it at home. I got the shade 'Dark' which was a little bit dark on my skin but to my surprise after blending it properly, it actually made my shade. It is really not like any other foundations, it has a weird texture, almost like a mousse. It has a good coverage and it is actually perfect for those sunny days.
It was €20.25 and it comes in four shades - Extra Light, Light, Medium, Dark.

3 - Collection - Super Size Fat Lash Mascara - 1- Black.
Ah yes, this mascara is becoming my best friend. I bought this over a month ago because it was on sale. It was €2.99 when I bought it but now it is only €3.99. First, I was very surprised to see the wand, I thought it was actually broken. Then, I actually tried it and Holy gods of makeup, this mascara did wonders for my eye lashes.
First, they made my eye lashes extra long, almost giving it a fake eye lash effect. They also made my lashes appear darker and I have also noticed that they have been growing since I started using this mascara. I would highly recommend this!
4 - E.l.f professional Foundation brush.
If I told you that you can get a really high quality brush for just a dollar, you wouldn't believe me right? Well this beauty right there is only $1! yes it really is! It is from America, my cousin sent me this, including some other dollar makeup.
I was quite suspicious at first to try the makeup, I wondered if it would be good quality or not, but I was completly astounded by the quality of the makeup considering its price. Let me know in the comments below if you would like me to do a little American haul blog post!.

5 - NYC City Proof intense lip color - 031- Gramercy Park Plum.
This lip crayon is literally my life. As a person who has quite dark skin, it is very difficult to find a good lip color that looks good with the skin and well, this is the savoir for us brown girls. The lip color is plum color (I will insert some swatches and a picture of me wearing that color.
This color lasts for about for than four hours.
A quick tip, if you apply some loose face powder over that shade, it will make it matte and that color is even more prettier than the original!
The lip crayon was only €3.99 and I purchased it from my local Lloyds Pharmacy!
NYC has to be one of my favorite brands for lip and nail products. It is so affordable and well, Demi Lovato, my absolute favorite song artist and of course my idol usually advertises NYC brand so I really can't resist it!

1 - Always Be With You - Walking On Cars.
This song is incredible! I have been listening to this song on repeat and I just can't get enough of it. The song is hauntingly beautiful. I especially love the part where the beat drops just after the pre- chorus. Shout out to my friend who made me listen to this song on one of our train journeys! You have really made me fall in love with this song!
2- Stay With me - You Me At Six.
This is actually one of my old favorites. I have known this song for a long time, but I seemed to have lost this song somewhere. Just last week, I stumbled across this song in one of the Spotify playlists. I love the acoustic version, I have yet to hear the normal version. As a guitar player, I appreciate the amazing tune of this song. I definitely, hundred percent recommend this song!
This is really all I have to say for now! I have spent a lot of time and effort into writing this blog and I have loved every second of it! I am hoping to update every week but I might be more regular than that since I am off and nothing to do for a month!
